A few weekends ago, DH and I had spent the best part of the night (no, not what you think!) watching movies. So, when on Sunday morning, I was woken up rather early to the melody of the Suprabhatham playing really loudly, I was quite irritated. Why did DH have to disturb the whole household, dammit? Finally, I couldn’t take it any longer. I sprang out of the bed, spoiling for a fight.
Guess what I see? DH is trying in vain to sleep by wrapping himself up completely in the sheets.
The culprit is Lil D! She is sitting on the sofa, and when she sees me, she exclaims – At last! I was waiting for you guys to get up!
What a way to be woken up to your kid growing up, eh? ๐
Glad to see you back. Why this shift to a new place? Wish you and lil D a fantastic New Yr.
Wish you too a very happy new year, Nithya. Lots of reasons for the shift, but let’s just say – a new beginning? ๐
Ah hah revenge time..Muhaahaa ha ha. for all the mornings you woke her up by playing Suprabhatam.. ๐
Absolutely IW!
She hasn’t yet learnt that holidays are for sleeping in late. ๐ฆ
that’s so funny! that’s exactly how i wake up my kids :-). i’ve got the ms cassette (yes, we still have cassettes in the usa) with suprabhatam on one side and bhavayami on the other. like kutchu (old kendriya vidyalaya character), kids get to wake up to one invocation on one day and the other the next.
– s.b. (came here via terri this time, though i think i’ve been here before)
๐ the new one she’s picked up is Bhagyada lakshmi baramma – namamma ni has been “remixed” by her to become “ramamani”! ๐
thank you for stopping by, s.b.
LOL! That was funny.
