A Simple Life

I am Anitha Murthy. Based in Bengalooru (Bangalore), I'm a lazy dreamer, and pretty content with my life.

By profession, I am a Computer Science Engineer, and have extensive experience in the software industry. Currently, I work as a freelance consultant for a US-based company. It's great, for I get to work from home. That's a fantastic perk when you're a mother to a growing child. My daughter's precocious, loving, and absolutely great fun to be with. My husband is a wonderful person, and you can tell I'm perfectly happy with how I've turned out in life.

From the time I can remember, I've always loved reading, and almost as a natural extension, writing. As I grew up, part of me remained a child, playing happily in fantasy lands where anything and everything could happen. Though I've dabbled in several genres, my favourite still remains fantasy, with science fiction a close and extremely fascinating second. I'm a voracious reader and feel incomplete without a book.

My first pieces were published in Deccan Herald, when I was barely out of school. Though I wrote a lot for inhouse publications, publication came rather late in life. Just a few years ago, I began blogging, and one thing led to another.

I am cautiously optimistic and believe the best is yet to come.
